Notice Description
- This procurement is for a Framework Agreement for the Data Lab of University of Edinburgh. - The Framework Agreement is for 34 months from June 2021 to March 2024. The requirement is for a Marketing and PR agency that fully understand the current Data and AI landscape to provide Marketing and PR services including Public Affairs services and strategic advice. Expert Marketing and PR provision will enhance our reputation as a leader in the Scottish Data and AI landscape and help us increase our reach and influence to Scottish businesses. The Supplier must be extremely knowledgeable in the business areas the Data Lab is active in and possess a thorough understanding of the scope of Data Science as a cross-industry enabler. They must also therefore recognise when the Data Lab could have PR opportunities or comment on topical and news issues. Some key areas to cover through PR:- - Thought leadership - lead the discussion on the applications of Data Science and AI to benefit Scotland's education and business sector and to position Data use in Scotland as a world leader. - The Data Lab's activities and achievements - including case studies and impact stories. - Skills and training - Promotion of our skills programme such as the growth of the MSc programme and its impact. - DataFest - PR activity to position it as a leading event Internationally and to drive ticket sales. - One-to-Many case studies - Advice on how can we build on case studies involving various partners. Map the Data Lab customer journey and the many and various ways in which we can help. - Position ourselves as a catalyst to attract other funding sources (e.g. Innovate UK, etc.)

This procurement is for a Framework Agreement for the Data Lab of the University of Edinburgh. The Framework Agreement is for 34 months from June 2021 to March 2024. The requirement is for a Marketing and PR agency with a comprehensive understanding of the current Data and AI landscape to provide Marketing and PR services including Public Affairs services and strategic advice.The appointed supplier will have the necessary expertise to enhance our reputation as a leader in the Scottish Data and AI landscape and help us increase our reach and influence to Scottish businesses. PR Requirements:- The Data Lab requires a specialist agency that is able to advise and provide ongoing support with communicating its messages, potential benefits and achievements to its key audiences, through media and other communications channels. Agency Requirements:- - Upfront advice on the appropriate strategy to maximise use of our resources and get our messages out effectively to our target audience. - Ongoing media relation's activity to connect the Data Lab to relevant media outlets across Scotland. - Proactive and reactive account management. - Help with drawing up a register of communications risks and planned responses (in addition to ad hoc crisis PR if required). - The Supplier Account Manager must to be extremely knowledgeable in the business areas the Data Lab is active in and possess a thorough understanding of the scope of Data Science as a cross-industry enabler. They must also therefore recognise when the Data Lab could have PR opportunities or comment on topical and news issues.We would require a monthly meeting where the Supplier Account Manager would be briefed about our upcoming activities, and propose ideas for the appropriate PR and Marketing. - This would be in addition to an on-going communication via email and phone to notify the Data Lab of short-term PR opportunities. Some key areas to cover through PR:- - Thought leadership - lead the discussion on the applications of Data Science and AI to benefit Scotland's education and business sector and to position Data use in Scotland as a world leader. - The Data Lab's activities and achievements - including case studies and impact stories. - Skills and training - Promotion of our skills programme such as the growth of the MSc programme and its impact. - DataFest - PR activity to position it as a leading event Internationally and to drive ticket sales. - One-to-Many case studies - Advice on how can we build on case studies involving various partners.
