East Ayrshire Council - Multi-trade Reactive Property Maintenance Service

EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL

This public procurement record has 1 release in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

East Ayrshire Council is initiating a procurement process for a Multi-trade Reactive Property Maintenance Service, aiming to enhance the maintenance of properties under their care. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on market research to discern how the reactive maintenance services can be best structured. The Council is considering the possibility of dividing these works into lots and engaging up to four contractors for jobs valued at a maximum of £10, while also allowing for larger works above this threshold. The future notice for this tender is set for August 2, 2021, and it is located within Kilmarnock, UK.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the property maintenance sector, particularly for those that offer multi-trade services or specialise in reactive maintenance work. Local contractors are encouraged to express their interest and share their insights on the delivery of these services. The potential for contract splitting may also benefit smaller companies that can handle specific lots, allowing for a fair competition and the ability to contribute to the Council's maintenance efforts.

Notice Title

East Ayrshire Council - Multi-trade Reactive Property Maintenance Service

Notice Description

Market Research East Ayrshire Council previously had a contract to carry out its Multi-trade Reactive Property Maintenance Service and Planned Maintenance of Works up to a value of 50 GBP. The Council is now looking into the possibility of splitting the reactive and planned elements apart, and are currently focussing on the reactive element, with the potential of splitting the works into lots as the market determines. At present, every option is being considered. The thinking at this time would be to - tender for a framework of multi-trade reactive contractors - maximum of 4 contractors up to 10 GBP per job divided up on a fair and equitable basis, which works would include for minor non-reactive works e.g. supply and fit a padlock. - quick quoting/tendering planned/larger works > 10 GBP (would include the 4 contractors above) - and tender for specialist term frameworks e.g. public clocks, roof anchors etc. However, the Council is keen to hear from local contractors who would be interested in working with the council going forward, and how they believe the works would be best delivered.
