Summary of the contracting process

The LHC for the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) is initiating a public procurement process for the "New Build Housing Construction Framework," aimed at the construction of new build housing projects across Scotland. This tender is currently in the planning stage, with a planned Contract Notice and Shortlisted Provider Declaration (SPD) set to be issued on 16 July 2021. The framework will encompass various workstreams and will not extend to Wales or the South West of England. Interested parties should register early for updates and future communications through the Proactis portal.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in construction, particularly those specialising in new build housing, groundworks, and demolition services. Companies experienced in low-rise and high-rise housing developments, as well as those capable of undertaking site preparation and enabling works, would be well-positioned to compete for contracts under this framework. Engaging with the tender process early will be crucial for businesses aiming to secure a place on the framework and benefit from the anticipated projects.
