Notice Description

The procurement is a renewal of the previous years' Microsoft Services Delivery Manager service. The service provides support to the Council and provides a direct link to Microsoft Ltd for the services and optimises and assists with expansion of full use the Office365 license estate.

The award of this contract under the Negotiated Tendering Procedure can be justified under the Council's Standing Order 9.3.1 for the following reason:- The works, services or supplies can be supplied by only one suitable contractor because competition is absent for technical reasons and no alternative or substitute exists and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement. Unified Support in only available direct from Microsoft as it is based on the Council's software spend. Microsoft Ltd provide unlimited reactive support for all our technologies and proactive engagements and Service Management to deliver. They also build in education and health assessments that only they can provide. Microsoft do not resell via partners or any other agency.
