This public procurement record has 2 releases in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process conducted by the University of Strathclyde involves the title "Provision of Innovation Challenge Support Services for S5GC and S5GConnect," aimed at supporting the Scotland 5G Centre (S5GC) in its first Innovation Challenge. The procurement is characterised as an open procedure and falls within the services industry, specifically targeting education and innovation. Located in Glasgow, the tender's critical dates include a submission deadline of 10th January 2022, while the total contract value is set at £140,000. Although the primary activities are intended to take place around Dumfries, the majority of the work can be conducted remotely, providing flexibility for potential bidders.

This opportunity presents excellent prospects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in coordination and administrative services within the innovation sector. Businesses equipped to engage with other SMEs and those familiar with the innovation landscape are particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The University has indicated a supportive role is desirable, rather than a direct delivery partner, allowing various service providers to contribute to the planning and execution of activities within the S5GConnect hubs. There is also the potential to expand the contract beyond the initial scope, creating further opportunities for business expansion.
