Summary of the contracting process

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is conducting a procurement process for the "Business to Healthcare" project, targeting the services industry within the Highland Council area, specifically in Inverness, Scotland. The current stage is the award of the contract, which was finalised on 20 July 2022. The contract is set to commence on 1 August 2022 and will run for an initial term of 20 months, potentially extending by up to 6 additional months. The budget for this service is estimated between GBP 110,000 and GBP 147,000 (excluding VAT).

This tender offers significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to enhance their engagement with the health and care sector, including NHS and private healthcare providers. Businesses with expertise in life sciences and technology that address key themes such as diabetes, orthopaedics, and ophthalmology will be especially well-positioned to compete. This initiative not only aims to support SMEs in marketing their products and services but also facilitates connections with NHS clinicians for valuable feedback, encouraging long-term adoption of innovative solutions in healthcare.
