Notice Title

Gypsy/Traveller accommodation fund

Notice Description

The Scottish Government (SG), on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wishes to commission a piece of research evaluating the outcomes and process of changes to Gypsy/Traveller sites as a result of investment from the Gypsy/Traveller Accommodation Fund. This research is being commissioned by the Better Homes Division (BET) of the Scottish Government (SG) on behalf of the Directorate for Local Government and Housing.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The intention is that an evaluation will: - ensure that key points of learning are gathered from demonstration projects to inform future projects and the final Gypsy/Traveller Site Design Guide; - provide a mechanism for bringing together and disseminating learning to a wider audience to promote site development; - inform future funding and policy decisions.. It is anticipated that the research will potentially extend over 3 years, in order to gather baseline and impact information from the projects. It will likely be a mixed methods evaluation project, although we will welcome suggested methodologies from bidders that fit the brief. The project will work with local authorities, local on-site Gypsy/Traveller communities and other key stakeholders.
