Advice to HES on VAT for Listed Buildings
Notice Description
The purpose of this research is to find out if the VAT situation for listed buildings is a significant barrier to their reuse and/or maintenance. We are looking for evidence to support a possible advocacy and awareness raising campaign about the benefits of a VAT rebate scheme, but we need defensible background information to be able to demonstrate the potential impact and value of such a scheme as a first step to thinking about this. 1.5 The work will involve the Supplier undertaking research to provide evidence or otherwise as to the effect a VAT rebate scheme would make in Scotland. The successful supplier will be expected to engage with other public sector bodies such as Scottish Government, Local Government, RICS and other relevant parties.
