The Bank has set out several delivery objectives including: Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) through investment and due diligence activity; Collect and report on equality and diversity data from investments; Undertake research and build engagement with external partners to understand potential barriers and identify opportunities. To support the achievement of these objectives the Bank therefore seeks to: Develop a robust evidence base to allow the Bank to better understand which protected groups, if any, are historically under-represented within the Scottish/UK investment landscape and why, with a specific focus on understanding the potential barriers and opportunities to access investment finance for those with protected characteristics. Develop an EDI screening and monitoring checklist that supports the delivery of a strong ESG and investment impact monitoring framework and is in line with Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) reporting expectations and GDPR. Develop a Scottish (wider UK where relevant) EDI stakeholder map to better understand the network of relevant interest groups / organisations operating within this area to support on-going stakeholder engagement on EDI issues.
