We are looking to increase the skill set and capacity available to our team by recruiting a bank of freelancers to support the community programme as well as develop a pool of supply educators who can provide cover during exceptionally busy periods or times of staff absence (often at short notice).

We are looking to increase the skill set and capacity available to our team by recruiting a bank of freelancers to support the community programme as well as develop a pool of supply educators who can provide cover during exceptionally busy periods or times of staff absence (often at short notice). These roles will develop and deliver elements of our community and education programmes at RBGE. Sessions will be for groups of 5 - 25/30 participants, will take place onsite at RBGE and offsite at community gardening projects around Edinburgh. We are looking for support year-round with activities such as: Productive gardening sessions for community groups Community cooking sessions focused on social inclusion Nature based art and craft workshops for community groups, public and schools Horticultural workshops to be delivered off site in community based settings Mindfulness and health and wellbeing sessions Developing a range of self-led resources for visiting groups (including schools) and families Supporting the delivery of public engagement events Supporting the delivery of formal education workshops for primary and secondary school aged children on a supply basis - often delivering at short notice to cover core staff absence PVG Disclosure may be required depending on the workplan..
