East Renfrewshire Council is now awarding to a suitably qualified company for the Provision of a Community Cafe Including Employability Training Programme for Adults with Additional Support Needs within Eastwood & Barrhead Health and Care Centres. There will be no guarantee given by the Council's HSCP with regard to the volume of business expected from the cafe or to the number of adults to be signposted for employability training. The Council's HSCP have however provided under the specification an overview of the historical data to support bidder understanding of service requirements. The Council's HSCP will make available to the successful operator two locations using a gain / share financial model. The successful operator will gain from having access to a rent free public facing service area and kitchen space within the Eastwood and Barrhead Health Centres. The Council's HSCP will also make available in each location basic cafe equipment to be maintained by the successful operator. The successful operator will not be charged a traditional rental but will instead be required to agree to share a % of profit from the cafe to be placed into a fund agreement that will be used for the development of the Employability programme.

Renewal: 2 x 12 month extensions available at the discretion of the Council.
