To ensure appropriate management of the risk associated with diseased ash trees by the Council, a consultant is required to undertake a service contract to develop the NLC Ash Dieback Disease Action Plan.

Services required incldue (but not limited to): -A costed ash dieback action plan to facilitate management of the impacts of ADD for all ash trees in North Lanarkshire Council's ownership. -An assessment of ash trees and their health (through desktop and other survey methods). An options appraisal should be carried out as part of this task to identify the most cost efficient method of survey method with high accuracy being a key consideration. -A survey of roadside ash trees within NLC adopted roads network (A&B class to the length of 330km). -A suggested approach / focus to tackling the impacts of ADD based on based on risk (with revenue and capital implications). -Options for recovery of loss through replanting proposals on land in NLC ownership.
