Setting the Table: Nutritional guidance and food standards for early learning and childcare providers in Scotland were first published in 2015 then updated in 2018. The current update is being commissioned to ensure that the publication takes account of the most up to date scientific evidence and nutritional guidance.It provides the standards for food provision, along with guidance and practical solutions. This aims to ensure that all children aged 0-5 in funded and non-partner childcare settings across Scotland are offered meals, snacks and drinks that meet their nutritional requirements, as well as supporting the development of positive food habits. The updated guidance is for all childcare providers that serve food and drinks to children in Scotland and wider including catering organizations.This procurement strategy sets out the procurement approach that will be taken to appoint a writer.
