Summary of the contracting process

The North Ayrshire Council is planning a procurement process for the "Working for a Healthy Economy" project, aimed at investing in an occupational health service to enhance the local workforce and drive economic growth. This initiative supports unemployed and employed residents in overcoming health barriers, as well as local businesses in accessing health-related support. The project, funded by the Ayrshire Growth Deal, began in May 2021 and will end in April 2027. A new contract is being sought from July 2024 onwards. The tender falls under the services category, with a total value of £3,000,000 in GBP.

This opportunity presents businesses involved in health services and workforce development a chance to compete for a contract to deliver services addressing health barriers for unemployed and employed individuals, alongside assisting local businesses in managing health-related work issues. Interested suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by submitting the required questionnaire to the North Ayrshire Council's contact person, Lynsey Bennett, by the deadline of Tuesday 14th November 2023. The communication of future notices related to this procurement is scheduled for 5th February 2024.
