Working for a Healthy Economy
Notice Description
Working for a Healthy Economy (WfHE) is a large-scale investment in an occupational health service to ensure that Ayrshire has the requisite workforce to drive economic growth in the future. This project will serve to widen the labour pool and provide the basis for the maximisation of benefits arising from Ayrshire Growth Deal capital investments. Funded by the Ayrshire Growth Deal, WfHE will support: - unemployed residents overcome health barriers to economic activity - employed residents to retain employment by addressing health barriers - local businesses to access health related supports to improve retention and productivity of their workforce. This service was implemented in May 2021 and will end in April 2027, so this contact is at the midpoint of its timeline and has been delivered by an existing supplier on a Framework Contract which has been in place. The Framework has expired, and we are seeking to award a new contract for the duration of the project with effect from July 2024.
