Glasgow Life require suitably experienced Transportation Contractor to provide Fine Arts Transportation Services including packaging, transport and associated services for a temporary Degas Exhibition to be held at the Burrell Collection, Glasgow from the 24th May 2024 to 25 October 2024.

Lot 1

Glasgow Life have agreed to borrow several Degas paintings, pastels and sculptures and a book from 14 lenders for the Degas Exhibition. The remaining Degas items will come from Glasgow City Council's own Degas collection. The transport requirement will include the provision of crates/packaging and transport to and from the exhibition of all borrowed items. Collection points for the borrowed items will include institutions throughout the UK as well as specific addresses in Ireland, France and USA.. Transit insurance will be covered under the UK Government Indemnity Scheme (GIS) and as such all Transport, Security and Environmental condition must be compliant. The Transport, Security and Environment conditions are a minimum requirement which contractors must meet and comply with. Any contractor that does not meet or comply with these will be excluded from the tender process.
