Notice Description

The Contract primarily involves the replacement of existing windows and associated finishes with new double glazed aluminium clad, timber or pvc windows to tenant occupied flats at 55/57 Nithsdale Drive and 10 March Street, Glasgow. The scope of works is also anticipated to include replacement of existing common close windows and screens, common close external doors, replacement of existing external doors to the main door flat at 57 Nithsdale Drive and new zinc cladding in replacement of existing cladding panels between ground and first floor windows. The scope of works may also include overhauling existing timber louvres within the common close at 10 March Street, repairs to existing zinc cladding and painting of existing metal fencing & railings. The works are anticipated to extend to twenty flatted property, nineteen of which are in ownership of Southside Housing Association and one property in ownership of a private occupier. The window replacement works to the owner occupier property are provisional and subject to agreement with the owner. The properties are located within a Conservation Area within the south side of Glasgow and Assist Design Ltd have have submitted a planning application to Glasgow City Council on Southside Housing Association's proposed requirements. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the requirements and terms of the Planning Decision Notice issued by Glasgow City Council. Southside Housing Association's preference is to replace the existing windows with new alu-clad windows. However, the specification of the new windows will be determined by the Planning Decision Notice the outcome of which is unknown at the date of tender publication.

Single stage tendering and all bidders may submit a tender. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. SPD (Scotland) document v1.3_0 Question 2D.1.2- Bidders must provide a separate SPD response (Sections A and B of this Part and Part III) for each subcontractor

Options: The Contract may be extended to include window or door replacement works at other properties within Glasgow in ownership or managed by Southside Housing Association

The response is sufficiently detailed to demonstrate a good understanding and provides details on how the requirements will be fulfilled. 4 - Very Good - Response is largely relevant and very good. The response demonstrates a very good understanding of the requirements and provides adequate details on how the requirements will be fulfilled. 5 - Excellent - Response is completely relevant and excellent overall. The response is comprehensive, unambiguous and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the requirement and provides details of how the requirement will be met in full. A Tenderer will be required to achieve a minimum score of 2 against each Question within Part C, i.e. a score of 2 or greater shall represent a Pass whereas a score of 1 or lower will represent a Fail. Southside Housing Association will disregard, and not evaluate the remainder of a Tenderers bid should the Tenderer fail to achieve the minimum score of 2 (a Pass) against any of the Questions included with Part C.
