Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has announced the awarding of a contract extension to Civica UK Limited for their Fleet Management System. This procurement falls under the services category, specifically for a fleet management system, classified under the CPV code 72000000. The procurement process is at the contract update stage, following its initiation as a tender. The contract, which is vital for the daily operation and compliance management of 3500 vehicles across 15 NHSS Boards, has been extended by 12 months, having a new end date set on 30th September 2025. This extension has been justified to allow for future procurement activities due to the need for additional works and services by the original contractor, Civica UK Limited.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in fleet management systems and related services. Companies with expertise in maintaining and enhancing fleet compliance, data management, and vehicle maintenance solutions would find themselves well-suited to compete for future tenders from NSS. With the estimated value of the extension at GBP 401,000, the contract highlights the potential for substantial business engagement and expansion, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the technology service sector.
