Summary of the contracting process

The Key Housing Association has launched an "R&M and Voids Framework" procurement process for maintenance services and planned component replacements across various regions in Scotland, including Central/North, Central/South, Southern, and Highland. The procurement, under the services category, has proceeded to the tender stage as of 8th July 2026, following an amendment due to staff annual leave and existing workloads. The tender will close on 4th September 2026. This open procedure invites submissions via electronic means and covers multiple lots, both multi-trade and single trade, with the primary focus on maintenance services performed year-round. With a contract value of £2,500,000, significant opportunities are present for contractors in various sectors including electrical works, plumbing, and construction services.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses looking to expand their service footprint in Scotland, particularly those specialised in facilities management, housing maintenance, or specific trades such as electrical, plumbing, and joinery. The framework accommodates up to two contractors per lot, allowing for significant collaboration and expansive coverage. The focus on cyclical and planned maintenance works positions this tender as an ideal opportunity for firms with the capability for long-term engagements. Small to medium enterprises, particularly those located in or willing to expand into the specified Scottish regions, could greatly benefit from the potential business that this structured multi-lot framework offers.
