Notice Description

NAC requires a contractor to undertake annual full testing and servicing of woodwork and metalwork technical machines and LEV systems and thorough testing to technical and art department equipment contained within eight of its establishments - all located throughout North Ayrshire. If it is appropriate to seek competitive bids, it is anticipated a Tender will be advertised on Public Contracts Scotland around 24th February 2025 with the procurement exercise being carried out via Public Contract Scotland-Tender. The 8 properties are comprised of six academies, one assisted special needs school and NAC's building services depot. Technical equipment is located within the technical departments of the academies and schools alongside LEV systems. The academies also have LEV systems within the art department. The building services depot includes a LEV system only. All properties will be occupied throughout the life of the contract. Remedial/repair work may also be required throughout the contract and must also include full reports for each system. The anticipated start date is 30th June 2025 until 29th June 2028 with the option to extend by up to 24 months. To determine the level of interest, and gather information, NAC welcomes expressions of interest from suppliers prior to the Tender being advertised. Expressions of interest can be made by completing the questionnaire attached and returning to pamelaorton@north-ayrshire.gov.uk before close of business on Friday 7th February 2025. The 8 properties are comprised of six academies, one assisted special needs school and NAC's building services depot. Technical equipment is located within the technical departments of the academies and schools alongside LEV systems. The academies also have LEV systems within the art department. The building services depot includes a LEV system only. At each property you will carry out a full-service inspection and clean on all woodworking / metalworking machinery, the centralised wood dust vacuum system and all hot work equipment. You will also carry out the required annual LEV testing in accordance with the Regulation HSG258 on the wood dust vacuum systems, hot work extraction systems and art kiln canopies as well as replacing all associated filters within the wood duct systems.
