Window and Door Replacement Works to existing properties

Notice Description

The Contract primarily involves the replacement of existing windows and associated finishes with new double glazed aluminium clad windows to tenant occupied flats at 55/57 Nithsdale Drive and 10 March Street, Glasgow. The scope of works is also anticipated to include replacement of existing common close windows and screens, common close external doors, replacement of existing external doors to the main door flat at 57 Nithsdale Drive and new zinc cladding in replacement of existing cladding panels between ground and first floor windows. The scope of works may also include overhauling existing timber louvres within the common close at 10 March Street and masonry paint work to the existing soffits and jambs of windows & doors constructed within render cladding. The works are anticipated to extend to twenty flatted properties, nineteen of which are in ownership of Southside Housing Association and one property in ownership of a private occupier. The window replacement works to the owner occupier property are provisional and subject to agreement with the owner. The properties are located within a Conservation Area within the south side of Glasgow and Assist Design Ltd have obtained a Planning Decision Notice from Glasgow City Council on behalf of Southside Housing Association.. A copy of the Planning Decision Notice has been provided to bidders with the Contract Notice on the Public Contracts Scotland website. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the requirements and terms of the Planning Decision Notice issued by Glasgow City Council.

Single stage tendering and all bidders may submit a tender. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. SPD Question 2D.1.2- Bidders must provide a separate SPD response (Sections A and B of this Part and Part III) for each subcontractor

Renewal: The Contract may be extended to include window or door replacement works at other properties within Glasgow in ownership or managed by Southside Housing Association until 2029. However the value of potential additional properties for window and door replacement works, if any, is unknown at the date of publishing the Contract Notice.
