The Scottish Government had a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of DIG- Digital Identity Experian Renewal. The Digital Identity Scotland Programme (DIS) is working to progress the strategy Scotland's Digital Future: Delivery of Public Services. The 'Verify Your Identity' work stream will deliver the Identity Verification (IDV) capability, providing a means to verify the identity of Users, so that our Service Customers can have a well-defined level of confidence in the digital identity they are interacting with. To be a success DIS needs to be able to raise the standards of digital verification and the amount of people who can be verified online and increase consistency of IDV across government services. There are four levels of confidence defined in Good Practice Guide 45; low, medium, high and very high. Achieving medium-level confidence in user identities is our goal, and this aligns with the GDS Single Sign On & Digital Identity project and provides a level of trust that is likely to meet the needs of our Service Customers.. Procurement carried out using CCS G-Cloud 14 RM1557.14
