Notice Description

The scope of the Project Management Service includes Contract Administration to inform and assist our development of the Mackintosh Illuminated Project. The Project covers 2 physical sites (only one of which will be the subject of major construction works) and one overarching aim - to raise awareness and appreciation of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret MacDonald, through research, exhibition, publication, digital media and other means of dissemination of knowledge and information. Engaging a diverse public, communities and stakeholders and working on skills training and volunteer programmes will also feature heavily in the project ambitions. The majority of the Project Manager's role will be to oversee, co-ordinate and report on the safe, timeous, compliant and efficient operation of the repair, conservation and construction project at the Hill House in Helensburgh; a secondary but aligned task will be to provide an independent overview of the wider engagement and outreach aspects of the project which also includes the Mackintosh at the Willow Tea Room in Glasgow City Centre.
