Legio blocks are extremely large and heavy concrete blocks weighing approximately 1.76 Tonne used to build 'bays' in the transfer stations to store waste before it is sent off to processors. The Council requires both full blocks and half sized blocks.

Legio blocks are extremely large and heavy concrete blocks weighing approximately 1.76 Tonne used to build 'bays' in the transfer stations to store waste before it is sent off to processors. Due to wear and tear, there is an ongoing need for these Legio blocks going forward. There are currently 2 types of Legio blocks in the depots; 'Full blocks' weighing 1.76 Tonne with measurements of 1.2 x 0.8m, and 'Half blocks' measuring 1.2 x 0.4m. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is an opportunity for potential tenderers to participate in finalising the Council's procurement strategy. Interested parties are invited to register their interest via the notice as well as completing a short market research questionnaire to be completed no later than Friday 9th May.
