Summary of the contracting process

ng homes, located in Glasgow, is inviting bids for a selective tender focused on electrical rewiring and associated works for both void and occupied residential properties. The procurement process follows a restricted procedure, and the framework agreement aims to appoint up to three electrical contractors. This tender operates within the housing and community amenities sector and encompasses a three to four-year programme of works. Key dates include the submission deadline on 30th March 2026 and the subsequent invitation date for the second stage on 16th April 2026. Interested parties should be ready for a tender stage where electronic submissions are accepted, and adherence to performance standards measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is mandatory.

This tender offers significant opportunities for growth within the electrical contracting industry, especially for businesses adept at undertaking partial and full rewiring projects. The framework agreement not only covers a substantial duration of 1440 days but also allows for flexibility in performing additional electrical tasks, such as condition reports. Companies experienced in coordinating with other contractors for kitchen and bathroom replacements or those skilled in making building warrant applications will find themselves well-suited for this opportunity. Furthermore, involvement may yield community benefits in social, economic, and physical regeneration under the auspices of ng homes' commitment to local well-being, rendering the tender attractive for enterprises focused on such community-driven initiatives.
