This Prior Information Notice (PIN) relates to a project to establish a Contract for the Provision of Horticultural Training & Associated Services (2026-30) (UOS-41610-2026).

Lot Information

Lot 1

The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract to support the delivery of activities outlined below. This Contract will include, however, will not be limited to: - Engaging suppliers with proven experience in providing bespoke training courses which meet current Legislation, and accreditation approved industry training certification: - Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) courses in Sportsturf or Landscaping: - Pesticide Courses - PA1 Foundation Module / PA6 Handheld Applicators / PA2 Ground Crop Sprayer Mounted or Trailed: - Hand Held Equipment - Safe Use of Pedestrian Lawn Mowers / Safe Use of Hedge Cutters / Safe use of Brush Cutters/Strimmers / Safe Use of Abrasive Wheel and Stihl (or equivalent) Saw / Chainsaw Courses on Maintenance/Cross Cutting and Basic Felling: - Ride On Machinery - Safe Use of Ride on Mowers / Safe Use of Tractor with Loader and Attachments / Safe Use of All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) / 180-360 Excavator; and - Health & Safety - Manual Handling / Safe Work at Heights / Safe Use of Ladders / First Aid at Work. The Contract will be awarded on a sole supply basis, and its remit largely relates to Services..
