"description": "The Newburgh Lifeboat Building is a heritage asset of significant national, regional and local maritime importance. We intend to restore and repurpose the building as a high- quality maritime museum, telling the story of the first RNLI Station in Scotland and the once busy 19th century and early 20th century port of Newburgh. This will be supported by essential infrastructure that embraces the four National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) investment principles to include saving heritage, protecting the environment, inclusion, access engagement and the Trust's organisational sustainability. Detail of the Services to be Provided Please see the attached business plan, interpretive strategy, survey, inventory, plans and drawings in relation to the above works. The requirement for Interpretation Services relates to the NYCT project to develop a museum and tourism resource based on the historic Newburgh Lifeboat Station. It is anticipated that the development will be funded through a mix of grant and internal funding and will be delivered by April 2027. This contract is intended to provide a comprehensive interpretive plan with detailed and specific costings for all interpretive resources as part of the project. These costings will inform a number of grant applications to bodies including the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Coastal Communities Fund, administered by Aberdeenshire Council. The contract related to Interpretation Services has two distinct parts: 1.2.1 Design - Interpretive planning and development for the Visitor Centre and Museum, including the production of interpretive concept, consultation and cocreation, detailed and technical designs and all interpretive content, including signage and interpretation for the sensitive area of duneland and estuary on which the buildings and boardwalk are/will be sited. 1.2.2 Detailed Costings - An interpretation scheme laying out detailed indicative costings for all elements of interpretation proposed. Delivery of the Interpretation Plan and Costed Scheme must be complete by 10th May 2026.",
