This tender offers a significant opportunity for businesses involved in surveys and reporting, particularly those with experience in tenant engagement and performance evaluation. Contractors who can demonstrate proficiency in survey development, framing, and reporting against the corporate plan's key performance indicators, such as the targeted increase in customer satisfaction, are likely to thrive. Firms specialising in property, energy and infrastructure, and aquaculture sectors would be well-poised to respond to the consolidated survey requirements over the plan period. Transparency, objectivity, and previous experience in conducting such surveys are crucial attributes; thus, businesses that excel in these areas could leverage this contract for growth and strengthen their presence in the public procurement realm.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Crown Estate Scotland (CES) is seeking a contractor to lead the survey and reporting of our tenant groups on the Scottish Crown Estate. CES has been surveying its tenants since 2017, with survey providing important feedback on CES performance, the service we provide and the relationship we have with our tenants. There has been a break in survey while we have been developing our new corporate plan, with the last surveys carried out in 2023. This contract will align with our new corporate plan timeframe 2026-2031 with two surveys required - one in the first year of the Corporate Plan, scheduled for August this year (2026). And a second survey in year four of the corporate plan in FY 2029/30. Surveys are of our three main tenant groups - Property, Energy and Infrastructure, and Aquaculture, with reporting against a number of sub-groups under these. Previously different tenant groups were surveyed separately, with a rolling programme of surveys across a three-year cycle. For this contract we will survey all tenant groups together, requiring only one survey and reporting cycle in 2026 and again in 2029/30. Key to this survey will be reporting against the new corporate plan KPI on customer satisfaction 'Customer satisfaction is increased by 10% over the plan period from the 2026 baseline'. Some support will be required on survey development and framing. All previous tenant surveys have been led by a contractor, adding transparency, objectivity and impartiality to the survey, helping to engender tenant trust and confidence in the process. Please note that the first survey must be completed in August 2026.
