The Council is seeking a suitably experienced provider(s) to undertake a comprehensive valuation of its art and ceremonial collections and to establish clear communication channels with the Council regarding findings, recommendations and any issues identified during the valuation process.

Art Collections
There are two significant art collections under the care of the Council: - The Anderson Trust Collection - The Argyll and Bute Museum & Libraries Collection The appointed provider shall: - Conduct a comprehensive review and valuation for insurance purposes. - Inspect items across multiple sites (Helensburgh Library, Campbeltown Museum, Corran Halls, Oban Municipal Buildings, Rothesay Pavilion, Library HQ Dunoon, etc.). - Provide updated valuations reflecting current market conditions. - Identify any conservation needs or risks observed during inspection.
Ceremonial CollectionsThe Council is seeking a suitably experienced provider to undertake a comprehensive valuation of its ceremonial collection and to establish clear communication channels with the Council regarding findings, recommendations and any issues identified during the valuation process. The Council owns a diverse and historically significant collection of ceremonial regalia. The regalia vary in age, design, materials and provenance, reflecting the civic heritage of their respective towns and communities. The ceremonial collections comprise of civic and baillie chains held across several locations: - Twelve chains under the care of the Council, housed at Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead - One chain under the care of Inveraray Castle - Two chains under the care of Mull Museum
