Description: Staffordshire County Council (SCC) operates as both a timber merchant and as a wood chip fuel producer/trader which supplies wood chip fuel to a range of biomass heat installations across the county. This operation receives bulk loads of round logs to its timber yard at Heatley Hall Farm, Rugeley, which are stored until suitable for chipping on site. The chips are warehoused in specially constructed shelters on site for further drying until required for delivery to our biomass heat installations on an as-needed basis.
