South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) and the Friends of Kingswood Park were successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for the refurbishment of historic elements of Kingswood Park together with access improvements and improvements to the existing play area, with one of the desired outcomes being that a wider range of people will be involved with the heritage. We are inviting suppliers to provide tenders for the design and installation of the play area at Kingswood Park, based on the requirements detailed in Schedule 3 (the Specification), the available budget, which is £230,000.00, and the NLHF outcomes we hope to meet. This is a single-stage open tender process, and the successful tenderer will be a Named Contractor within the main contract tender documents for the overall Kingswood Park Restoration and Enhancement Project. The successful tenderer will be asked to provide the relevant information regarding the play area for inclusion in SGC's main (or 'Principal') Contractor tender documentation. The play area will be constructed in 2025 (timetable to be agreed). We anticipate that the Principal Contractor will start works in September 2025. Goring-on-Thames Parish Council invites proposals from suitably qualified companies to design and re-develop the play facilities on the Bourdillon Field recreation ground behind Goring Primary School (RG8 0BG). The existing playground consists of a fenced-in area and a grass mound in the middle. In addition, there is also an unfenced area adjacent to the playground with a combined basketball net and football goal. It is intended to extend and refurbish/redesign both areas. Requirements: The design of the playground should take into consideration the surroundings and should appeal to a wide age group - from toddler to year 6 primary (2-12 years). The open sports area should be suitable for an older age group. Suppliers should use their expert knowledge to recommend specific equipment, surfacing and a design to optimise use of the area available, including Accessible and SEN friendly elements. The playground should be themed with a large structure to denote the theme and to be the centrepiece. The proposals should include, to the extent possible given the physical layout, play-frames, slides, multiple swing sets, a multipurpose roundabout/turntable specifically accessible for wheelchair access, tactile/sensory play activities, log weavers / balance beams and challenging 'risky' play equipment, zip wire. The existing mound area should be utilised or enhanced as an integral part of the design. If suitable within the design and if there is space available, suppliers should include risky play: climbing frames, walk-ways, climbing walls, net/rope climbing frames, pyramid rope climbing frame, tactile/ sensory play: e.g. ball runs, glockenspiel/musical play and other items [...]

Worcester City Council is seeking a play provider to design, install and construct a 'Play on the Way' scheme just off Cotswold Way, Worcester. This is part of a wider 'Worcester City Play Plan' which has been implemented by the city council. The existing open space area is adjacent to residential housing and leading to Cranham Primary school. There would be 7 play stations which would be located close to an existing footpath on site to create a 'Play on the Way' concept. This project is for the delivery of stations 1-6 inclusive and station 7 would be a future separate phase 2 project for a pump track or similar youth provision (yet to be approved by Committee). The adventure trail would be a mix of natural play timber and steel equipment and would cater for toddlers, juniors, and early teens. Please see procurement documents for further information.
