The contract forms part of a wider programme of capital works funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the goal of improving accessibility, safety and functionality for public use.The works will include the removal of the existing external access ramp and the demolition of a raised internal floor section to facilitate level access. The contractor will be required to coordinate with Terry Lifts for the installation of a DDA-compliant platform lift, which has already been purchased by the client and is to be installed on site during the contract period.The scope also includes the demolition and restructuring of existing toilet facilities and the construction of a fully accessible Changing Places facility, meeting current national specifications and guidance. Cornwall Wildlife Trust is seeking a suitable contractor to install a wheelchair accessible, permeable, bound footpath and disabled parking spaces at their Five Acres Nature Reserve near Truro. This is part of a project to turn an old allotment space into a Community Wellbeing Garden that is inclusive and accessible to all. It involves improving the access to the site, including creating accessible parking, improving the pathway to the site and creating accessible pathing within the garden. The project has been designed to support more people to connect and engage with nature but also needs to support nature and be as environmentally friendly as possible. We are seeking a contractor to install ~600 - 700m2* of a bound, permeable surface, non-slip, non-reflective surface.
