St John’s is a grade II listed building within the Richmond Terrace/St John’s Conservation Area in Blackburn. In April 2019 an accidental fire caused extensive damage to the building. Following the fire, the property was made safe with the Council undertaken some clearance works and erected permanent hoardings. It is proposed the former St John’s Church will be repurposed and refurbished to create high quality flexible workspace to meet new agile working demands, which have been accelerated by the pandemic, and will form an early phase of the new Blackburn town centre masterplan. Star Academies are looking to run an FTS compliant tender with the intention of creating a contract with a single supplier of employee health plans and benefits. This will be an open tender process and a process timetable can be found within the tender documents. The supplier selected will be able to provide both a cash plan and employee assistance programme. They may also provide access to third parties where applicable. Whilst the tender will be used as a basis for future works and pricing, the Trust are looking to engage a supplier who will work collaboratively with us and tailor their approach, so that they are able to meet the specific needs of the Trust.
