Coastal Learning Partnership is currently out to tender for the provision of a full daily catering service. The services at the Trust schools are a mix of in-house production and a delivered-in service provision. The Contractor will be responsible for the provision of a full school food catering service for the pupils and staff at the Trust schools. This will consist of a full lunch service for each school day at all sites. Across the Trust there are currently over 5,500 pupils on roll for the academic year 2025/26]. Of this figure, 1866 pupils are entitled to UIFSM and a further 1448 to Free School Meals. TUPE is expected to apply, details of which can be found in the tender documentation. Some members of the catering team (2 members of staff) are members of the Local Government Pension Scheme and all details are in the tender documentation. The Trust is keen to further increase uptake and continue the good work already in place for catering. It wishes to do so by working closely with the successful contractor in developing and continuously improving the service and partnership during the period of the contract and by introducing innovative and creative ideas as submitted in the tender process and ongoing. The Trust is aware that there are always opportunities to improve and modernise. They are interested in ensuring that the caterers provide the best possible service, introducing new menu ideas and initiatives so that pupils are all eating and utilising the service regularly. BCP Council are commissioning Supported Accommodation Services for Children in Care aged 16 - 18 years, for whom the authority has a statutory responsibility for, in line with Ofsted requirements and regulations for the sector. Supported Accommodation Services enable children to prepare for independent living, utilising support (rather than care) to aid children to achieve positive outcomes. In accordance with the sufficiency duty placed upon local authorities, wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so, BCP Council intend to support children to remain living in their local area; to maintain in contact with, and access to, their family and friends, education services, health and wellbeing services and local communities. SMS messages are used as part of a multi-channel communication approach to engage with students. Approximately 35,000 messages are sent each year. Scenarios where SMS communication is used include the following: • Automated messages to notify of timetable changes and cancellations • Applicant interview details • Appointment notifications and reminders • Wellbeing and engagement contact • Sports centre information and promotions • Urgent alerts to university first-aiders The replacement SMS service may include, but is not limited to, the features listed below: Core Functionality • Ability to convert email into SMS messages. • Extract subject/body and trim to SMS character limits. • Deliver to UK and international mobile phone numbers. • Ability to create custom message templates. • Replies matched to the originating outbound message and delivered to sender. • Ability to prioritise messages and specifically send high-priority alerts. Message Routing and Delivery • Retry failed messages and report failures. • Ability to schedule or delay delivery based on recipient time zone. • Ability to schedule messages on an ad-hoc or recurring basis. Logging and Reporting • Maintain logs of all messages sent and received. • Ability to view message stats, delivery success rates and errors. Compliance and Security • Potential to encrypt messages. • Provide means for recipients to opt out of SMS communications. • Ability to define retention periods for message history. Integration • Potential ability to integrate with other systems (e.g. case management, CRM). Administration and Support • Seamless access (preferably via Single Sign On) to system for message sending, receiving, managing users and viewing logs/reports. • Notification of failed messages and gateway issues. • Option to establish message quotas with notification when close to quota threshold. • Defined service-level agreement for support. This market engagement event is open to all providers who have an interest in the delivery of short breaks services for disabled children and young people (aged 0-25) and their families. Short Breaks are designed to provide enjoyable and inclusive opportunities for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), whilst also offering families and carers regular and reliable respite. Services will include (but are not limited to): • Holiday and after-school activities • Weekend and evening youth provision • Opportunities for children and young people with complex needs • Mentoring, befriending and community-based support • Overnight and residential short breaks The event will offer providers the opportunity to learn more about BCP Council's vision to provide short breaks services for disabled children and young people looked after across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, overview of BCP Council's latest data and find out about the procurement process.
