The Regina Road Regeneration is a priority project for the London Borough of Croydon (LBC). It is the first major regeneration scheme that LBC is undertaking directly in recent times and has vested interest from both senior members of the Council and in the wider community. The Project commenced following a successful ballot and decision of London Borough of Croydon's Cabinet on 25 October 2023 approving full redevelopment of the estate via direct delivery by LBC. The project now seeks to deliver up to 340 new quality homes for residents to replace existing 191 postwar housing which is in poor condition. Phase 1 of the project comprises delivery of 225 affordable homes (including 215 social rent, 10 shared equity/shared ownership), a community space, and a nursery. The balance of a minimum of 115 units is to be delivered as part of Phase 2. The Home Office has a requirement to appoint a suitably qualified Supplier to deliver specialist cleaning services for Border Force operational environments. The contract will cover the routine and ad hoc cleaning of sensitive End User Devices (EUDs), including Primary Control Points (PCPs), Document Scanners, Fingerprint Readers, Laptop Cabinets and eGates (on an as-needed basis). The Supplier must demonstrate experience in cleaning electronic and biometric equipment in secure, high-traffic environments. All cleaning must adhere to manufacturer guidelines and security protocols to ensure the continued functionality and integrity of the equipment. All personnel deployed under this contract must hold appropriate security clearance. The supplier will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant security and access control procedures at Border Force locations. The contract will include scheduled cleaning services, rapid-response capability for ad hoc requirements, and detailed reporting on completed tasks. The London Borough of Croydon will shortly be issuing an Invitation to Tender (ITT) on (insert date) for the following two contracts that will run from the 1st September 2025 to the 31st August 2030: Coroners Body Removals for the South London coroner jurisdiction comprising the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Croydon and Sutton The coroner is a special judge who investigates unnatural or violent deaths, where the cause of death is unknown, or because the death took place in prison, police custody or another type of state detention, such as a mental health hospital. The investigation may include an inquest hearing. The coroner’s role is to find out who died and how, when and where they died. In some cases, it is necessary to hold a post mortem examination to find out the cause of death. If the deceased died in the community the body must be transported to the coroner’s mortuary for the post mortem examination, or transferred to a specialist post mortem facility and this contract provides for this service. There are two lots: Lot 1 (West – Croydon and Sutton): to collect deceased in the community, or from hospital and transport to either Croydon University Hospital or Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.
