BACKGROUND 1.1 Thorne-Moorends Town Council wishes to draw your attention to an exciting opportunity to run a café situated within Thorne Memorial Park, Doncaster. 1.2 Thorne Memorial Park and its adjoining walled gardens are a site of about six acres which lay at the heart of Thorne in Doncaster. 1.3 The park and gardens are of local historic interest; surrounding a pond with lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife, featuring a play park, playing field, miniature steam railway, a Grade II listed Crimean War memorial pump, cenotaph and a bandstand, which is the scene of brass band concerts in the summer. 1.4 The Park hosts several events throughout the year including a Remembrance Sunday Service and Summer Festival. 1.5 The park has recently received an upgraded playpark bringing more footfall to the area, further investments are planned for the Memorial Park over the coming months and years. 2. The City of Doncaster Council (CDC) is holding a Market Engagement Event for providers of Domiciliary Care Services across the City of Doncaster. The aim of the event is to discuss the future procurement of Domiciliary Care in the city of Doncaster, with current arrangements coming to an end on the 31st October 2025. It is anticipated that a formal procurement process will be undertaken to establish a Light Touch Flexible Framework Agreement in line with the new Procurement Act 2023. Procurement of the Framework Agreement is anticipated to begin from April 2025.
