HHP plan to work in partnership with an Independent Sector (IS) Provider to facilitate provision of additional insourced Gynaecology outpatient services for a backlog clearance programme.
The IS provider will provide appropriately qualified and experienced Consultant Gynaecologists along with appropriate Healthcare Assistants (HCA) and registered nurses to support additional Gynaecology outpatient activity. This will focus on General Gynaecology, Uro Gynaecology, including Uro Dynamics, Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy and Minor Procedures for patients aged 16 and over.

The IS provider will provide face-to-face clinics at HHP sites. Each clinic will be a 4-hour session and the all-day session will be 8 hours. Start and finish times will be agreed with the IS provider as part of the mobilisation meetings prior to the commencement of the work. The IS provider will source and provide the Gynaecology Consultants, Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants with the relevant experience to support colposcopy and other outpatient procedural activity and recovery function (e.g. colposcopy and hysteroscopy experience). The sessions will be arranged over the weekends.

HHP plan to work in partnership with an Independent Sector Provider to facilitate provision of additional Neurophysiology Physiologist-Led and Medical-led outpatient clinics in support of a focussed backlog clearance programme.

The IS provider will provide appropriately qualified and experienced Clinical Physiologists to support additional Neurophysiology Physiologist-Led outpatient activity that is to be delivered. This will initially focus on Routine and Sleep EEGs and Physiologist-Led NCS clinics, patients aged 18 and over but may be extended to EEG paediatric cases if required; to also provide adult medical-led Electromyography (EMG) to include complex EMGs.

HHP will identify all the referrals/patients from Primary Care and Specialists who will require an outpatient appointment.

The IS provider will provide EEG, EMG or NCS clinics off-site with their own equipment, physiologists and administration / clinical support worker or at any available outpatient clinic rooms/facilities based at Scunthorpe General Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary (Clinical Neurophysiology Department based at Gladstone Street site), Castle Hill Hospital or East Riding Community Hospital. HHP plan to work in partnership with an Independent Sector (IS) Provider to facilitate provision of additional neurology outpatient clinics in support of a focussed backlog clearance programme. The IS provider will offer appropriately qualified and experienced Consultant Neurologists along with appropriate Healthcare Assistants (HCA) to support additional Neurology outpatient activity that is to be delivered. This will initially focus on General Neurology and Epilepsy both Face to Face and telephone clinics, for patients aged 18 and over. This may be extended over to other areas such as headache if required.

HHP Clinical Admin Team will book the patients. An all-day clinic session will have capacity for 14 New patient slots to include clinical correspondence dictation. The sessions will be arranged initially over the weekends with options to be explored for weekday sessions in the future.

Patients sent to the IS Provider will include general Neurology and epilepsy patients.

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) plan to work in partnership with the provider to facilitate provision of additional Ophthalmology outpatient clinics in support of a focussed backlog clearance programme.

The supplier will provide appropriately qualified and experienced staff to support sub-specialty new and outpatient procedures (inc. follow-up patients) but maybe extended to support other areas if required. The staffing required will be appropriately qualified and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists and support staff including Imaging Technicians, Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Orthoptists and Optometrists.

HUTH will identify a cohort of Ophthalmology patients who require an outpatient appointment or procedure to be seen through the term of the contract.
The Supplier will source and provide sub-specialty consultants for the sessions, with any consultant requiring service approval in advance via a CV review. Patients will be reviewed in a face to face clinic, primarily on the Hull Royal Infirmary site.
