Crowden Outdoor Education Centre offers high quality residential stays for groups of children, young people and families who may be part of an organised group such as schools, youth groups, uniformed group or targeted provision delivered by RMBC. On occasions private individuals may also stay at the centre. Residential group sizes may be up to 40 people but will not be less than 10 people per visit. Day visitors who may require a lunch service can be up to 70 participants. The Service Provider will when booked provide meals from the first evening until lunch on the last day. These will include: • Breakfast (e.g. egg, bacon, sausage with vegetarian option, beans, hash browns, toast with various spreads, selection of cereals) • A packed lunch (e.g. filled sandwich/roll, homemade cake. fruit, snack, yoghurt, drink carton for off -site groups) • Evening meal - Two courses (main and dessert). No processed ready meals, fresh foods to be used where available unless cost prohibitive. Portion sizes must be adequate to sustain the average person taking part in high levels of practical activity. Meals must be planned to meet the national nutritional guidelines for the population demographic predominantly but not exclusively children aged 8 - 16 and Adult supervisors. The supplier will be responsible for providing menu plans as a minimum once an academic year to be approved by the Authority. The development of an internal business case for a local area energy plan covering the geographic area of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough. A Rotherham LAEP will be expected to deliver the following outputs: • A pathway to 'Net Zero by 2040' in line with local and regional decarbonisation goals, accounting for committed government policy and spending as appropriate. • A high-level summary for policy makers which conveys the scale and range of activity needed to achieve local decarbonisation goals, as well as key differences between areas within Rotherham Metropolitan Borough. • Evaluation and prioritisation of projects, policies and partnership actions needed to deliver local decarbonisation goals. • Identification of opportunities for commercial or community-owned renewable energy generation in Rotherham Metropolitan Borough, to include assessment of opportunities to attract external funding and investment. • Estimation of the investment required to deliver local decarbonisation goals, in total and in each year up to 2040, segmented by sector and geographic area. • Estimation of additional economic, social and environmental value to be realised by delivery of the LAEP, compared with a reasonable baseline. • Setting out next steps required of the Council and other key actors to mobilise the LAEP, with clearly identified milestones and lead roles. • A data model or platform such as a 'digital twin', which allows the LAEP to be continuously updated [...]

The purpose of this market engagement exercise is to gain information about the current market as a whole, the position of relevant suppliers within it and also any potential barriers that may prevent participation. We will use this information to inform the writing of the tender in such a way to ensure maximum competition and ultimately a robust, best value contract. The Authority has a requirement to carry out repairs and maintenance to highways throughout the borough. This procurement shall cover the supply and delivery of the Asphalt products required to carry out these repairs and maintenance works. Lot 2 of the contract will include the recycling of waste products arising from the highways improvement schemes (planings). The material will be transported to a named site for testing and recycling. The tonnage of this product is expected to be in the region of 8000 per annum. It is unclear at this time if Lot 2 will be awarded to one or multiple suppliers and this decision will be made upon receipt of the information gathered via this market engagement exercise.
