Mill Lane Aqueduct Repairs Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of repairs to Mill Lane Aqueduct in the Swindon urban area. Project Description: Works and materials are required to repair the upstream and downstream headwalls of an (non-listed) 18th century masonry aqueduct / culvert. The initial contract term will be for 8 weeks as stated in the ITT documents. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. The Council now intends to modernise and convert it into a multi-use office facility with an open plan council chamber, kitchenette, disabled WCs, and supporting spaces. This pre-engagement exercise is part of an early stage budget approval process and not a formal tender. 2. Project Objectives • Refurbish and modernise the building for year-round council and community use. • Retain key architectural elements while addressing current building regulations. • Improve accessibility and internal layout. • Address potential asbestos issues and legacy infrastructure concerns. 3. Brief Description of Requirement The service required is the ability to classify the UKRI portfolio of applications and awards (Research Councils, Research England, Innovate UK) to a pre-existing classification system. The need for automating the classification is to reduce time spend on manual categorisation and improve operational efficiency. The solution is to classify new applications and our historic portfolio. In addition, we require a solution to identify Trusted Research and Innovation for a quarterly report to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). This is required to ensure continuity of delivering business critical reports to DSIT, International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), Annual reporting to boards, and being able to answer requests of ‘what have we funded in defined research areas’, that have a quick turnaround, for example Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information Requests. The classification systems required are: Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); OECD sector codes; Health Research Classification System (HRCS); Research, Condition and Disease Categorization (RC); Fields of Research (FoR); Common Scientific Outline and Cancer Type Codes; Units of Assessment (UoA). NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board is seeking to secure a Provider who has the capability and capacity to deliver Individual Placement and Support in line with the specified requirements. The service will provide intensive, individual support aiming to help people with a Severe Mental illness (SMI) to gain and retain paid competitive employment with the implementation of the evidenced based IPS employment approach. The service will be for people aged 18+ with an SMI open to secondary mental health care and also Primary Care. The geography covered is Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. The contract will be for an initial 3 year term with 2 optional extensions of any period of 1 year per extension with service commencement on the 1st April 2026. It is expected that TUPE will apply and information is available on request. Further details are provided within the tender documentation. The contract value is £1,186,995 per annum giving a total value of £3,560,985 over the initial 3 year term, £4,747,980 if the first extension is adopted, and £5,934,975 if all extensions are adopted.
