Summary of the contracting process

The Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the development of an Integrated Assessment Model focused on the education sector. This initiative aims to engage suppliers who can provide products that meet OAT's requirements and facilitate a collaborative development environment. Interested parties are encouraged to register their interest by contacting Dean Lowe at dean.lowe@ormistonacademies.co.uk, with the engagement period concluding on 23 June 2019. The total investment available for development and licensing by December 2020 is £150,000. The procurement process falls under project management consultancy services.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in educational software, project management consultancy, and research and development services. Companies that offer market-ready products or are capable of developing innovative solutions in partnership with OAT would be particularly well-suited to compete. The nature of the collaborative partnership sought by OAT allows for shared risk and reward, which could lead to significant growth and strategic alliances within the education sector. Additionally, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate in this opportunity.

Notice Title

Development of an Integrated Assessment Model - Education Sector

Notice Description

The purpose of this notice is to help Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) to identify potentially suitable suppliers/contractors that would be interested in taking part in a procurement. OAT are seeking a provider to assist with the development of an Integrated Assessment Tool and want to identify suppliers that can meet the following criteria: 1. Has a product or products either in the market or ready to market that deliver the majority, if not all, of our requirements but could be further developed to deliver our vision. 2. Is interested in working with us on a partnership basis with shared risk and reward. 3. Sees the potential in bringing something to market that responds to the emerging assessment landscape which is not currently well served by the market. 4. Is prepared to negotiate a mutually beneficial relationship that would recognise the value to their business of our intellectual property and test bed potential as one of the largest national trusts covering primary, secondary and special schools. 5. The total investment available for development and licensing up to December 2020 is PS150,000. 6. We would want the relationship to include a negotiated price for ongoing licensing that recognised our intellectual property. 7. We are in discussion with a number of other national MATs and there is the potential for introductions or alliances if this would improve the value of our contribution. Suppliers should also see the document attached to this notice, for further details on the procurement project. OAT would like suppliers that feel they can meet our requirements to register their interest by contacting Dean Lowe, OAT Procurement Consultant on the following email address: dean.lowe@ormistonacademies.co.uk Please note that this Notice is not for a 'Live' procurement and OAT do not expect tender responses to be submitted from interested parties at this stage. The purpose of this notice is to only identify the size and structure suppliers in the market. A full tender will be published at a later date.
