Summary of the contracting process

The South Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is preparing a framework agreement for Clinical Communication Tools 2021 aimed at NHS organisations across the United Kingdom. The procurement process is currently in the Planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 3rd September 2021 at 12:00. This initiative is being established to enhance communications and task management systems within the NHS, by moving away from outdated methods such as pagers and facilitating secure and efficient sharing of clinical information. Interested suppliers are encouraged to complete a Market Engagement Questionnaire available through the In-tend eTendering portal.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those specialising in communication software and IT services related to health technology. Companies offering solutions like secure messaging systems, mobile applications, and task management tools will find this framework particularly relevant. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to engage with the NHS supply chain are well-suited to participate, especially those that can provide scalable solutions capable of addressing critical staffing efficiencies and clinical needs across multiple NHS organisations.
