Cambridge City Council - Upskilling of "Multiskilled" (team of 40 Property Maintenance Operatives)
Notice Description
Assessment of all operatives has been completed and the outcome of the skills audit will be made available to tenderers. Successful tenderer will need to consult operatives and their manager to finalise training plan. Existing workforce comprising 40 operatives of which 22 have a lower skill set. All employees have at least one principal trade skill and all currently have varied abilities in one or more other trades. Development of a training plan for upskilling all operatives to a practical and comprehensive standard consistent with a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Property Maintenance. Delivery of all on-site training as required to achieve the overall Level 2 standard. All training is to be delivered at the E&F depot at 130 Cowley Road, Cambridge to a programme agreed with E&F service managers - designed to ensure all operatives achieve Level 2 standard within a min of 2 years and maximum of 3 years from project commencement. The appointed Training Organisation is to include for all assessors/trainers to work on site at E&F depot or other sites within Cambridge City Council boundary and to provide all toolsets required for training. Materials will be provided by the City Council from the on-site stores. Off-site training at the Training Organisations own premises will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and should not be assumed when preparing the submission. Training organisation are required to confirm proposals for use of Apprenticeship Funding to support the cost of training programmes
