Notice Title
Cefas in Kuwait - Marine Environment Programme: eMISKMarine and opportunities for partners
Notice Description
PLEASE READ THE ATTACHMENTS FOR FULL DETAILS The broad scale and technically diverse nature of this programme of work will require Cefas to partner with SMEs and international companies to successfully meet the demanding requirements of the Kuwaiti Government. Therefore, a range of subcontracted products and services will be offered to the market via an open, transparent and competitive process. It is estimated that the total value of the subcontracted work will be in the region of PS20M. Consequently 6 Invitations to Tender (ITTs) will be commissioned to support the delivery of this project. This notice aims to bring awareness to the market in readiness for the release of the ITT packs (full breakdowns of the ITT packs and Lot structure are attached with this notice). Opportunities will be advertised using the Delta e-Procurement system https://www.delta-esourcing.com/ and replicated via 'Contracts Finder' and 'OJEU' (release is anticipated during early 2018). As part of the full ITT procurement process, 1-day Supplier Engagement events will be held in Kuwait and London (dates to be confirmed). Although attendance at these is not mandatory, interested parties are encouraged to attend at least one of the events which will be informative and provide opportunity to gain additional context to the procurements. Cefas representatives will be in attendance, providing a useful opportunity for suppliers to ask clarifying questions on all aspects of the packs. The Kuwaiti event will also include site visits to specific areas of the KEPA facility relevant to some of the ITTs (particularly ITT Pack 5). For interested parties that are unable to attend either of the Supplier Engagement events, a comprehensive clarification process will be in place upon release of the full ITT. Parties will have ample opportunity to submit their questions via electronic means (as detailed in the ITT packs upon release). This pre-tender notice does not allow for suppliers to submit tender clarification questions at this stage. However, we encourage potential suppliers to register their interest by emailing emisk@cefas.co.uk and provide the following information: * The title and pack number of the ITT(s) of interest * Name and contact details of the person registering * Name of company and full address * Email address to which an electronic invite can be sent * State if you would be interested in attending one of our supplier engagement events to be held in Kuwait and London during early 2018. Please state preferred location. Registered parties will be sent an electronic invite from the Delta e-procurement system when the full ITT packs are released. We anticipate this to be during early 2018. A list of the full ITT packs and their Lot structure is available to download as part of this notice. PLEASE READ THE ATTACHMENTS FOR FULL DETAILS Additional information: The Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) is an Executive Agency of the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
