Notice Description

Manchester City Council wishes to appoint a Contractor to provide Planned & Preventative Maintenance including Reactive Repairs together with Small Works utilising a Measured Term Contract in accordance with industry best practice across MCC Public Buildings. The Contract will be for a 3 year period with an option to extend for a further 1 year. Works will consist of, but are not restricted to: Repairs/Alterations/Renovation/Demolition Excavation and Filling Brickwork and Blockwork Cleaning Drainage Electrical Flagging/Block Paviors/Concrete Glazing Carpentry/Joinery Metalwork Painting/Decorating Plumbing Roofing Vinyl Covering Plaster/Render and Tiling Landscaping Maintenance Additional information: This is a competitive procedure with negotiation tender process and any interested party may submit an expression of interest.The Contracting authority expressively reserves the right not to award any contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this contract. In no circumstances will the contracting authority be liable for any costs incurred by the candidate and any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers.The Council is using the e-business portal known as The Chest - www.the-chest.org.uk to conduct the procurement exercise. To gain access to the tender documents, tenderers will need to register their company details at the above website. Once regsitered tenderers will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the invitation to tender documents. Tenderers will need to electronically submit their completed Request to Participate documents and accompanying documentation via the Chest on-line portal by 11am on the 6/12/2017. Any supplier queries will also need to be submitted via the Chest website.
