Summary of the contracting process

The Rushcliffe Borough Council is undertaking a procurement process for the "Skate Park Design and Build for Rushcliffe Country Park." This project falls within the urban furniture industry category and is located in East Midlands, United Kingdom. The procurement process is currently in the Award stage, having been completed on 21 October 2020, with a contract value of £209,855. The contract period is set to commence on 9 November 2020 and conclude on 26 April 2021. The procurement method used for this project was selective, executed through a call-off from a framework agreement, with the tender period having ended on 25 September 2020.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in concrete construction, landscaping work for sports facilities, and the supply of outdoor sports equipment. Given the project's objectives of constructing a top-quality, user-responsive skate park, companies with expertise in multi-purpose sports facility construction and accessible design will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Particularly, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that focus on community-oriented recreational projects may benefit significantly from involvement in this initiative.
