Notice Description

SCC has a duty to ensure reasonable care is taken when a person entering its land/premises is not injured by its act(s) or omission(s). Also the HSE 1992 Act states that arrangements should be made to minimise risks from snow and ice. By providing a salting/snow clearance contract SCC can meet the requirements of this regulation. Premises that require this service include:- Administrative Offices, Fire Stations, Residential Homes, Day Centres, Libraries and Adult Learning Centres.. The Provider must provide a reliable and efficient service seven days a week covering a 24-hour period. SCC would require a one-hour response time from the Provider identifying a weather emergency using the most up to date technology and agreed trigger point. Mechanical snow clearance may be required at some of the sites. This will be on an automatic basis for Priority 1 sites and on a call-out basis and in consultation with the Provider for any other sites. Detailed service scope has been stated in the technical specification. Framework length is 2 + 1 + 1
