Notice Description

The Council is seeking to enter into a contract for the provision of cash collection and cash delivery services. The initial contract is for a 3-year period with the option to extend for a further period of up to two years. The service is divided into 3 specific service delivery requirements. Cash Collection from leisure centres, delivery of cash to leisure centres and cash collection from pay and display cash machines. The Council currently runs 9 pay and display car parks with a total of 20 cash machines The Council runs two leisure centres at Waterside Farm Sports Centre, Canvey Island and Runnymede Leisure Centre, Benfleet. The main objective of the Services are to ensure: a.That income belonging to the Council is collected using the most efficient and secure method available to maximise safety and cost effectiveness and to deter vandalism and theft b.That a full audit trail is kept of all income collected, from collection to banking c.That all income collected is stored securely prior to banking, and transported safely and securely for banking in line with the service requirements Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
