Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, RBK was about to launch an ambitious transformation programme focused on delivering better outcomes for our communities and businesses at the same time as delivering savings and supporting income generation. Like other borough's the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on local communities and on the council's financial position, the requirement to transform at pace is now more important than ever. One of the cross-cutting transformation themes is focused on RBK being a 'Leading Council' - Kingston leading the way; developing a 21st century digital council with engaged citizens. Innovative, streamlined and joined-up services that place the resident at the centre of everything we do. The council's customer experience, business support and revenue and benefits services are a key area of transformational focus as part of this Leading Council theme.
