Notice Title

GB-Sheffield: Anaesthetics Rostering System

Notice Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 29 June 2016 for the following reason: Amendment to noticeThe Operating Services Critical Care and Anaesthesia (OSCCA) directorate within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) is tendering to source a secure cloud based departmental co-ordination system to help the department plan, operate and report on its activity across the 2 main campus sites and within the 6 speciality sectors. Any implemented system must be able to track anticipated vs actual delivery of service, report on work planned or achieved by location, specialty and individual, support evidence to inform job planning, and a record of the supervision of trainees. Being accessible securely through any web based device, it should provide a single up-to-date view of an online rota to enable the department to work collaboratively with its contributors with time sensitive changes communicated automatically via alert mechanisms (email, text). It must have the ability to remotely request leave and on call requirements as well as providing a platform to record and manage other absence. Easily configurable rules should provide a degree of automation that reconciles availability to reduce the need for administrative approval or reconfiguration of rota templates. An intuitive graphical user interface should enable rapid adjustments to the schedule, eliminate the possibility of duplication, and highlight gaps in sessional coverage. The system should be capable of producing standard reporting templates across a number of key performance indices with customisable output to inform personal, administrative and departmental business intelligence. Implementation of an electronic scheduling and rostering system should act as an enabler for OSCCA to increase its efficiencies through improved service planning and improved rostering, better utilising valuable and scare resources Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
