Summary of the contracting process

The CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) is planning a procurement process titled "Electronic Preparation and Presentation of Evidence - Video Conferencing", focusing on the supply of video conferencing equipment. This process is categorised under the legal services industry and aims to enhance remote participation for court witnesses and victims. The tender process is currently in the planning stage, with a consultation meeting scheduled for 19 August 2019 in London. The anticipated contract period is from 30 October 2019 to 30 October 2021, with a total estimated value of £250,000.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for SMEs, particularly those specialising in audio-visual and video-conferencing technologies. Companies that can provide secure, reliable technological solutions for remote court processes, and those capable of meeting the stringent security and accessibility requirements outlined, would be well-suited to compete. Engaging in this procurement could lead to valuable partnerships and contracts in the legal services sector as the CPS seeks to modernise judicial proceedings.
