Summary of the contracting process

The East Of England NHS Collaborative Hub is initiating a procurement process for Body Worn Video Devices & Accessories aimed at supporting NHS Ambulance Services. Currently in the planning stage, this process seeks expressions of interest from manufacturers and suppliers in the telecommunication and security industry. Interested parties must submit their responses via a questionnaire by 20th July 2021. A consultation market engagement event is expected to take place on 29th July 2021, following the collation of responses.

This procurement opportunity presents significant avenues for business growth, particularly for companies specialising in video surveillance systems and public safety equipment. With public funding awarded to multiple UK Ambulance Trusts to pilot these devices, businesses that can provide durable, high-quality video recording solutions and accessories suited for frontline staff in emergency services would be well-placed to compete. The resultant Framework Agreement will last for four years, offering a stable and extended engagement opportunity with various public bodies throughout the UK.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The suppliers will provide a solution through which other contracting bodies can access data which is specified in the Statement of Needs. The actual content of requirements may vary depending on the need of the call off from the framework. The supply of Body Worn devices and their accessories is indicative and not exhaustive over the life of the agreement. Additional information: Public Funding has been awarded to 10 UK Ambulance Trusts to launch samples of these products and monitor the effectiveness of their use. Some Trusts have now decided to fund the roll out of devices to all their front-line staff which is why we need a framework agreement to provide the additional equipment.
